Below are some of your frequently asked questions and HBPC Policies:

FAQ’s

Are you covered by Insurance?

Our company is insured through Pet Care Insurers and Lloyds of London

Dishonesty Bond- Currently, all our pet sitters are Independent Contractors, and  covered under our insurance

My cat is allowed outside, what's your policy about letting my cat come and go while I'm away?

In order to properly care for and monitor the well-being of your feline family member, we have to be able to assess them at each visit. We cannot guarantee your cats' safety if he is allowed outside. For this reason, HBPC strongly urges it's clients to keep cats indoors while they are traveling. Clients may be requested to sign a waiver of liability if they still want to allow the cat access to the outside.

My dog likes to hang out in the yard during the day when the weather's nice. Will HBPC accommodate this?

HBPC will not allow dogs to remain outside while they are not present on the property. All outside activity for dogs will be supervised while the pet sitter is on site.

I don't have a fenced in yard...can you just let my dog(s) run loose? He/She always stay close to home.

Unless your dog is a very young puppy or elderly, we won't allow your dog unrestrained playtime outside. Our sitters will leash your pet if your yard is not fenced in. It can be a great time for a structured walk, or playtime on a training lead. We take our responsibility for your pet seriously, and want to ensure his/her safety at all times!

Requests for overnight care in your home require a 25% deposit. Our sitters rearrange their lives and schedules to care for your pet and home, and in blocking out the time cannot accommodate another client.

Clients cancelling vacation or overnight care with 24 hours or less notice will be charged in full. Cancellations made within 30-21 days of reserved dates will be refunded 10% of initial deposit.
